Next Generation Gradiometer Utility Detection Technology Case Studies — Larry G. Stolarczyk, Sc.D., Joesph T. Duncan, MS Geo-Physics, Stolar Global Imaging Regulatory Track

AM band gradiometer receiver (AMG) technology utilizes AM tower electromagnetic signal to induce current flow in all metal, polymer, concrete and tile pipe throughout the region. Detection includes FO cable and control lines. The current flow generates scattered electromagnetic fields that are detected with AMG technology from hand-held, push-carts, low flying drones and traveling vehicles.  The acquired data is available in real-time to detect cross-bores ahead of excavation and HDD drilling.  Case studies, conducted at airports and construction sites will be presented and discussed.
